Ce que ça mesure

Whether anxiety is worth a closer look, using the GAD-2 — the two-item ultra-brief version of the GAD-7. It captures the two symptoms that best flag generalised anxiety: feeling nervous or on edge, and being unable to stop worrying.

Comment ça marche

You rate each of the two symptoms from 'not at all' (0) to 'nearly every day' (3) over the past two weeks. The answers sum to a 0–6 score. A score of 3 or more is a positive screen and the usual prompt to complete the full seven-item GAD-7.

Conseils pour un résultat fiable

  • 1Use it as a quick checkThe GAD-2 is built for speed. If it flags anxiety, the GAD-7 gives a fuller severity picture.
  • 2A positive screen isn't a diagnosisMany things drive short-term worry. A high score is a reason to look closer, not a label.
  • 3Notice the impactIf anxiety is affecting sleep, work, or relationships, that's worth raising with a clinician regardless of the exact number.
